LGA Programs

At Little Genius Academy we are committed to creating a nurturing, stimulating, and accepting learning environment that provides children with the tools they need for future happiness and success. At LGA, teachers take advantage of every teachable moment to promote social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. Our Little Genius Curriculum was created to help children become confident, independent learners who will develop a strong self-worth, enabling them to make positive life choices. Children learn through play in our classrooms.  Our classrooms are set up with 6 centers; Science, Art, Dramatic Play, Table Toys, Literacy, and Blocks.  Learning centers help students make decisions, carry out plans, cooperate and share with others, and problem solve in order to play independently. The teacher also guides their play with questions.  Teachers work in small groups with the students to differentiate their instruction.

In our infant classrooms, we provide small class sizes as well as low teacher to student ratios. This allows for increased one-on-one interaction and ample individualized instruction within an intimate and home-like environment. Teachers strive to maintain a soothing atmosphere that recognizes each baby’s natural feeding, sleeping and play rhythms. An infant’s day consists of cuddling, rocking, circle time, tummy time, reading books, exploring age appropriate toys, singing songs, creating art, stroller walks and much more!

The Advanced Toddler Program introduces children to more structure and teacher-guided activities, while still balancing play and exploration. As children turn three, they become more aware of their role in the world around them and have increased social interactions with their peers and adults. Our talented teachers use open-ended activities to begin to help children explore science, social studies, math, and early literacy skills in a discovery-based way. Each day brings a new adventure as our young preschoolers learn to play cooperatively, participate in groups, and are exposed to a variety of activities!
